What would you do when you get old? Stay at home alone with your dog or look for a place where you’re being taken care and can find and socialize with other elders? I don’t know about you, but for me, the second choice is much better. Especially if I no longer have someone else to take care of me. And at BetterCaring.Com, I could easily find the nearest (registered) care homes in UK and check out their status or condition for later decide whether I’m going to move there or not. I could even ask for others’ suggestion in BetterCaring community, thus avoiding the possibility of getting stuck on a smelly care home with a bad neighborhood and noisy traffic jam for example.
Apart for providing a comprehensive database of all registered care homes in UK, you can also find a lot of helpful tips and discussion about care home. Some that I recommend are “Moving Into Care Home”, “What to take to your care home”, and “What is the ideal care home?”. Those reading would give you almost everything you should know about care home and anything else about it.
Finally, is moving to a care home would close your social world? Definitely NO. In a care home, you could always meet other people at the same age and obviously socialize with them. Even better, the staff would take care your condition, so you could live the rest of your life happily without worrying about your health.
Still have another reason not wanting to move onto care home?
