"Astro Boy" to Screen Cinemas

Japanese comic characters who have explored iconic film industry through the latest animated film "Astro Boy". Is the film studio Imagi International Holdings Limited, which produced the film by using Autodesk Maya software.

Imagi Studios has released an investment of 65 million U.S. dollars for the manufacture of "Astro Boy". This film production process involves the formation of concepts and characters, script writing and the initial design was done by a team in Los Angeles, while the Hong Kong team consisting of 400 artists to concentrate on making models, textures, animation, lighting, rendering, and integration tasks.

"For Astro Boy leaves the simulation is done using image effects with Maya software plug-in internal us," said John Mak, head of technical operations at Imagi Studios in a press release.

Astro Boy animated film has been launched on October 23, 2009. The main character in the film is the work of Osamu Tezuka who first introduced the comic series of Astro Boy, a robot boy who never grew old, in the 1950s. Along with its popularity, the comic was later developed into a black and white cartoons to television in 1963 - the first Japanese TV series that uses an aesthetic that is now known as the anime world.

Before Astro Boy, Imagi Studios is using Maya to develop and produce animated movies computer. Released in 2007, "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" was also produced by these companies using Maya. When launched, the film has ranked first in the United States box office - the first time for an animated film produced in Asia.
