Twitter's popularity has been used previously to report the number of astronauts for exploring the activity space. This time, Twitter users also have the chance to experience it at least in the launch of space shuttle Atlantis next.
U.S. Space Agency (NASA) plans to kopdar aka Tweetup Twitter users to come to see the procession Arlantis launch at Kennedy Space Center, 11-12 November 2009 which is usually only available to the press. In addition, they also will be given an opportunity to tour the facility, chat with the astronauts and the technicians.
"The purpose is to share Tweetup shocking experience for the launch of space shuttle with a new audience," said Michael Cabbage, director of News Service Division at NASA Headquarters in Washington. Cabbage said this activity will also be kopdar (ground coffee) first Twitter user who had been a follower mikroblogging site Twitter managed NASA.
The reason for this could follow should Tweetup Twitter user who became NASA follower. Invitation only be given to first 100 registrants at nasa.gov / tweetup which will be open beginning Friday (16/10). NASA also will receive the following 50 applicants waiting list but in the list. This invitation is not just for U.S. citizens know, but of course the cost of travel there own risk.
